California Woman Destiny Abdrazack Dies in House Fire Sparked by Artificial Christmas Tree

On Christmas Eve, Destiny Abdrazack celebrated with her fiancé’s family in their North Highlands, California home.

At around 2 A.M. on Christmas morning, an electrical short in the Artificial Christmas Tree ignited a fire in the house.

Abdrazack woke up the other five people in the house, but they could not escape the flames because the home did not have working smoke alarms.

Abdrazack was pulled out of the burning building by firefighters but later died at the hospital.

The five other people in the house, including Abdrazack’s fiancé’s parents, their son, and two other adults, survived.

Unfortunately, two family dogs also died in the fire, which destroyed the house.

Neighbors tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher and a garden hose, but the fire was too intense and moved too quickly.

A GoFundMe has been set up to cover Destiny Abdrazack’s hospital and funeral expenses.
