Shooting at Sikh Temple in Sacramento Leaves Two Injured

Sacramento, California – Two people were badly hurt in a shooting at a Sikh temple during a parade on Sunday.

The incident happened at the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society near Bradshaw Road and Gerber Road in Sacramento County, according to ABC10 News.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Amar Gandhi said three people were in a fight, leading to the shooting.

The people involved seemed to know each other, and the problem started long before the event.

Both injured people are expected to live, and one will likely be arrested. Their nationality is still not known.

Gandhi added that the person who fled the scene was also caught.

The temple hosted a special parade called Nagar Kirtan Parade, which closed nearby roads for six hours.

Sacramento City council member Lisa Kaplan expressed sadness about the shooting on Twitter.

She said that more must be done to stop gun violence and ensure celebrations can be enjoyed without fear.

A recent poll showed that two out of three people in California are worried about becoming a victim of gun violence.

This is because of the increase in mass shootings in the state and across the US.

In January, California saw two mass shootings in a row. Since the start of the year, there have been 80 mass shootings in the US, seven causing four or more deaths.
