Bryan Christopher Kohberger suspected in University of Idaho student murders

Bryan Christopher Kohberger, a 28-year-old criminology doctoral student, is suspected of murdering four University of Idaho students in November.

According to a former high school friend, Nick Mcloughlin, Kohberger underwent a personality change in the summer after their junior year, becoming aggressive and bullying people.

Mcloughlin said Kohberger also started taking boxing lessons and wanted to fight people. As a result, Mcloughlin and their friends stopped being friends with Kohberger.

Kohberger received a psychology degree from Northampton Community College in 2018 and later worked as a school security officer for several years.

He received a master’s degree in criminal justice from DeSales University in 2022 and was pursuing a doctorate at Washington State University when the murders occurred.

Kohberger’s DNA reportedly matches samples found at the crime scene.
